We made it to big city Guadalajara after three great days in and around Patzcuaro, Michoacan for the Day of the Dead celebration. We have dropped the bmw off with Xavier, the French ex-pat mechanic who seems supremely confident that he can make short work of the shock repair. There is a chance we'll get it back by evening tomorrow and be back on the road Saturday morning! That would be amazing.
Here are some pictures from Michoacan and a few of our amazing hotel for the last day, La Casa Encantada. Our room was beautiful and came with a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc on ice. We met a bunch of really great people at the hotel and really enjoyed Patzcuaro. Hopefully M will post more narration later!
